Privatisation in Education Research Initiative (PERI) launches its website

danielePrivatisation in Education Research Initiative (PERI) is an initiative of the Education Support Program (ESP) at the Open Society Foundations (OSF) and a global research and networking initiative seeking to animate an accessible and informed public debate on alternative education provision. In particular, it examines the social justice implications of changes in the coordination, financing and governance of education.

We are pleased to inform you that the PERI website is now online!

The website is central to this effort and is the space where we will be publishing research, news, events and other information related to the above issues. It is also a space where we will encourage users to interact and comment on content. The website also has the facility to submit any relevant content that you would like to share.

We invite you to log on and register on the website and share any relevant resources you may have. Please do also share it with anyone you think may be interested. You can visit the website here:
www.periglobal.org

PERI is also convening regional conferences in Asia and Africa on Globalisation, Regionalisation and Privatisation in and of Education with the aim of bringing together a range of institutions and representatives to critically debate the relative merits and demerits of privatisation in and of education on education qualityequityeffectiveness and efficiency. The events will be held in September and October 2012. If you are interested in attending or presenting a paper at either of these conferences you can read more and register for the conference in Asia here and the conference in Africa here.

In addition to the website you can also find PERI on FacebookTwitter and LinkedIn.
