New report on the state of Open Educational Resources in Poland published

educational resources polandUNESCO Institute for Informational Technologies in Education (IITE) has published a new country report on the state and challenges of the Open Educational Resources (OER) in Poland, titled Open Educational Resources in Poland: Challenges and Opportunities, authored by Kamil Śliwowski and Karolina Grodecka. It is part of the series in which reports about Lithuania, Russia, China and Brazil were published earlier. The book contains an overview of Polish projects in open education and recommendations for development and use of OER as well as the Polish government`s Digital School” program. The case of Poland provides a good example of how OER can be efficiently promoted at national level. The program aims to achieve the OER goals as fully as possible and finally providing access to open digital textbooks at all levels of education.

The Open Society Foundations (OSF) has been providing support for the development of OER in Poland since 2008.
