Network of Education Policy Centers with great pleasure announces the NEPC SUMMER SCHOOL 2014 on the topic: Inclusive schools – Foundation of a Socially Just Society to be held on June 29 – July 5, 2014 in Jahorina, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
NEPC Summer School is an annual learning event intended for Policy Makers & Implementers at national and regional level, Researchers, Education Specialists and Graduate Students in education policy from all over the world. The 2014 summer school will be dedicated to two topics:
- Living together, Learning together: policies and practices that enhance social cohesion in multi – ethnic/cultural and religious societies
- Empathy is not enough: existing policies for economically disadvantaged pupils and exploring the issues of economic disadvantage and poverty on inclusive practices in schools.
The objectives of the event:
- Offer various theoretical perspectives of inclusive education at the school level
- Describe different inclusive policies, both at the political and at school level
- Provide specific examples of possibilities for inclusive teaching
- Explore those barriers to inclusiveness which are not covered by policies or practice
